Privacy Policy — EU Nerd

Last updated: 2 July 2026

EU Nerd (“the app”, “we”, “us”) is an independent study aid for preparing for the EPSO selection tests. This policy explains what data the app handles and why. The app is deliberately privacy-light: there is no account, no login, and we never ask for your name, email, or any personal identity.

Who is responsible

The app is provided by the EU Nerd developer. For any privacy question, contact support@eunerd.eu.

What stays on your device

Your learning data never leaves your phone. Stored locally only:

We do not upload, back up, or have any access to this data. Deleting the app deletes it.

What we collect

  1. Anonymous usage analytics. The app records simple, non-identifying events (e.g. “app opened”, “test completed”) to understand usage and improve the app. These contain no personal data and no advertising identifiers. You can turn this off any time in Settings → Analytics. Events are stored on our backend provider, Supabase.
  2. Crash and error diagnostics. If the app crashes, anonymous technical details (device model, OS version, the error) are sent to Sentry so we can fix bugs. This contains no personal data.

We do not sell data, show ads, build advertising profiles, or track you across other apps or websites.

Purchases

Full access is a one-time in-app purchase. Payment is handled entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) — we never see or receive your card or payment details. We use RevenueCat to confirm whether a purchase was made so the app can unlock; it receives an anonymous purchase identifier, not your identity.

Notifications

Daily reminders (if enabled) are scheduled locally on your device. No notification data is sent to us.

Third parties we rely on

Data retention & deletion

Anonymous usage events are automatically deleted from our systems after at most 12 months. Crash diagnostics are retained by Sentry for its standard 90 days and then deleted. Data stored on your device is deleted when you delete the app. Because the data we collect is anonymous, we cannot look up or link any of it to you — but for any deletion request or question, contact support@eunerd.eu.

Your rights (EU/EEA — GDPR)

Anonymous analytics and diagnostics are processed on the basis of our legitimate interest in maintaining and improving the app, and you can opt out at any time in Settings. Because we do not collect personal data or identify you, we cannot link any data to you individually. For any concern, contact support@eunerd.eu; you may also complain to your local data-protection authority.

Children

The app is intended for adults preparing for EU institution exams. It is not directed at children.

Changes

We may update this policy; the “Last updated” date above will change accordingly.
